As someone who has lived in Minnesota during the ongoing George Floyd / Derek Chauvin controversy, I have witnessed firsthand the increased division that Black Lives Matter and Critical Race Theorists have created among the general population.

I am now witnessing an increased push for these Marxist organizations to infiltrate and sow discord within the Christian community.

The term “Christian”, however, is being loosely applied to those who continue to fuel the flames of hate and racial division in the name of Christ who called us to love not only our brothers / sisters but also our enemies (perceived or literal).

An undisputable example of Critical Race Theory slithering its way into Christian circles comes in the form of a recently published best-seller titled “A Rhythm of Prayer.”

This work was advertised as “an inspiring compendium of original prayers and essays written by progressive faith leaders.” What this work is “inspiring”, however, should concern anyone keeping a watchful eye.

On page 69 of this “Christian” collection is a prayer titled ‘Prayer of a Weary Black Woman’ written by a supposed PH. D, Chanequa Walker-Barnes who is also an associate professor at Mercy University School of Theology.

The first line of the prayer is “Dear God, please help me to hate White people.”

Wasting no time in sowing hate to her audience, it boggles the mind to imagine the New York Times allowing for the publication of this work had the races been reversed.

As abhorrent as this opening line is, this “prayer” continues on in both length and vitriol against White people.  

She continues this prayer on page 71 with “…if you can’t make me hate them, at least spare me from their perennial gas-lighting, whiteman-splaining, and white woman tears. Lord, if it be your will, harden my heart.”

My immediate thought would be that a PH. D should likely know that “whiteman-splaining” isn’t a word but I’ll leave that to her White cuckold of an editor to sort out.

The more concerning part of this excerpt is for her asking God (I’m not sure which god) to harden her heart.

If she had any ounce of Biblical acumen, she would realize the hardening of a certain Pharoah’s heart in Exodus led to his ultimate downfall. Hebrews 3:8 also specifically commands us against such a “prayer”; “Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness.”

She continues on her self-righteous diatribe with “Stop me from being hopeful that White people can do and be better. Let me imagine them instead as white-hooded robes standing in front of burning crosses.”

This is classic dehumanizing of a group of people by collectively imagining them as sub-human monsters that has justified genocide throughout history.

The added irony of this selection of “prayer” is her commission of the very sin she is lashing out against. She is collectively accusing an entire race of people of a communal crime based on the actions of a few. Romans 2:1 “For that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.”

A very eye-opening selection comes next when she “prays”, “Let me see them (White people) as hopelessly unrepentant, reprobate bigots who have blasphemed the Holy Spirit…”

The Book of Matthew specifically discusses this blasphemy. The blaspheming of the Holy Spirit was described as the only sin that was unforgiveable. It was in a reference to the Pharisees who witnessed Jesus casting out demons but attributed these miracles to the devil, “the Prince of demons.”

In this prayer, however, the author is describing white racism as the blaspheming of the Holy Spirit, which Jesus says shall never be forgiven “in this age or the one to come.” (Matt 22:32) She is therefore, reinforcing that racism is unforgiveable in any sense and plays into the Critical Race tenant of Whites possessing an “inherent racism” that they cannot ever consciously overcome.

This is blatant blasphemy that teaches there is no redemption for people born with white skin; that not even the blood of Christ will save these people.

She then continues on her amazing display of Biblical ignorance, writing, “Let me be like Jonah (missing the point of the story of Jonah completely), unwilling for my enemies to change or like Lot, able to walk away from them and their sinfulness…let me stop seeing them as members of the same body.”

Whether she means the body of Christ or body of human beings is not clear. Given the classic Marxist technique of grouping people into sub-human classifications (Bourgeois vs. Proletariat) to justify violence, and her allusion to Lot who saw his entire city wiped from the face of the earth, I would assume the latter.

Marxists are now using race instead of class-struggle to create these new violent divisions; an “us vs. them” mentality.

Amazon has a show that was recently released, literally titled “Them”, which centers around a Black family moving into a mostly White neighborhood and the increasingly sadistic torment they experience at the hands of their White neighbors.

Miss Walker-Barnes reinforces this idea in the next line when she asks God for a literal “Get Out of Judgement Free” card “if I make White people the exception to your commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves.”

In other words, she is asking God to wink at her desire to hate her white neighbors and break His own commandment. It’s not a stretch, then, that she would expect God to wink at her desire to commit violence against them in the next blasphemies she attempts to publish.  

She has such a staggering level of self-delusion that she then thanks god for healing her heart and rescuing her from the “monster of racism”…only just having spent this same page asking for God to allow her to hate them and see them as unsavable monsters who will never be forgiven in this life or the next.

This is currently a top ranked title with 4.5 stars and is recommended under the “Christian Living” section of Amazon.

There are far too many racist blasphemies for me to address in this “prayer collection” in one article but I will leave you with one last verse to consider when dealing with “the race issue.”

Critical Race Theorists conveniently claim that White people are all inherent racists that have an unconscious prejudice they are not even capable of realizing. Matthew 7:16 states that “By their fruits you will recognize them. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?”

As Christians, we should be praying for God’s ability to discern fruit from thistles in our fellow man, not pray for the hardening of our hearts towards their skin color as Miss Walker-Barnes would have you do in this hate ridden devotional.
